The Moon Dog brewery is as hand-crafted as the outlandish ales it produces. A good chunk of the brewing gear was cobbled together from second-hand farming and dairy equipment.
The brewhouse is a three vessel 13hL electric system (hot liquor, mash/lauter and kettle/whirlpool). The beautiful and shiny fermentation system is comprised of an ever-growing farm of cylindro-conical tanks.
There is a designated "cool-room" for wild-fermentation, barrels strewn around the place, a painting of John Candy, chandeliers, a pink elephant and the odd gratuitous cock.
It has been described by one observer as the “oddest brewery” he's ever seen. We like to call it home.
